Linux Admin

  • Job Location: Andheri(E), Mumbai

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our Linux-based servers and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration and be familiar with various open-source technologies.

Key Responsibility:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Monitor and optimize server performance and availability
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
  • Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with security policies
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripts and other tools
  • Stay current with new developments in Linux and open-source technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and resolve issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Linux administration
  • Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
  • Experience with shell scripting and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.)
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
